Recuerdos

"I'll love you forever. I'll like you for always. As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be.”

Alexandra “Allie” LeAnn Hummel, 36, passed away on June 23, 2026. She was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, aunt, and sister, and a registered nurse whose compassion touched everyone she cared for, both professionally and personally.

Allie’s love for her family was the center of her world — her husband, Andrew, her son, Kooper, her sisters, Ann and Trisha, her brother, Dustin, and her dogs, Fritz, Jäger, Rocky, and Spotty, who she adored without measure. She found joy in the simplest and richest parts of life: long walks on the beach, exploring new places, getting lost in arts and crafts projects, and going on dates with her husband that always felt a little like falling in love all over again.

Those who knew Allie knew her smile first — captivating, infectious, the kind that made a room feel warmer the moment she walked in. Her laugh had a way of lifting even the heaviest spirits. She was grumpy in the mornings, without fail, until someone brought her breakfast in bed — and then all was right with the world again. Above all, Allie was unique, caring, and endlessly compassionate. She had an instinct for noticing when someone was struggling, and she never hesitated to step in and help, whether that person was a patient, a stranger, or someone she loved.

In honor of her legacy of compassion, the Annual Allie Hummel, RN Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund is to be established in her name, awarded to aspiring nurses who exhibit exemplary compassion and caring for others.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.

Allie is survived by her husband, Andrew Hummel; her son, Kooper; her father, Tony; her mother, Tonnya; her siblings, Ann, Trisha, Dustin, and Weston; her father-in-law, Mike; her mother-in-law, Lisa; her nieces, Saige, Eleanor, and Ahryha; her nephew, Malaki; and her dogs, Fritz, Jäger, Rocky, and Spotty. Her memory, her laugh, and her boundless love will be carried forward by all who knew her.
